Sant'Angelo Resort is located in the historical center of Matera. The resort occupies cave-dwellings, rock churches and tufa houses. It is near the Ionian Sea beaches and the archaeological sites of Metaponto and Policoro. The hotel features multiple areas both inside and outside. Dining options include local gastronomy, prepared by chef Pompeo Lorusso. Breakfast includes cakes, tarts, homemade jams, pastries, cheeses and cured meats. Sant'Angelo Resort is close to the Ionio beaches, Metaponto and Policoro archaeological sites, WWF Bosco Pantano natural oasis, Diga di San Giuliano, Melfi and Venosa castles, Parco Nazionale del Pollino, and Parco della Murgia Materana.
